Cricut has brought me Joy again! In the form of a Cricut Joy App! There are times we need simple in our lives and that is exactly what Cricut did, provide us with a super simple application to use with our Cricut Joy Cutting and Writing Machine. I am so happy to show you just how super simple it is!
Can’t you just use Cricut Design Space with your Cricut Joy? Why yes you can. But, I’m here to share with you a super simple Cricut Joy App that will streamline your quick DIY projects in mere minutes! Yes, I said minutes. YaY!
Currently, the Cricut Joy App is only for IOS but Cricut plans to release a version for Android in the near future. This is what the app looks like below when you search for it in the Apple App Store:
Notice it states for age 4+. They are not kidding. It really IS THAT simple to use. I will most definitely enjoy having our Grandson & Grandaughter use the Cricut Joy to create what their hearts desire within the application!
Like seriously put your kids in charge of making gift tags & labels from now on! They can even make their own stickers!!
Is the App Free?
Table of Contents
Yes, the Cricut Joy application is free. In addition for a limited time (date unknown to me) all 50,000+ images and 70+ fonts and 23+ professionally designed Quick Label Shapes are all FREE.
What can I find in the Cricut Joy App?
Cricut loaded all single layer content in the Cricut Joy Application for us. Try to think of it this way. Single-layer content is cut from a single layer material. In addition to the images, label shapes, and fonts there is also access to a selection of compatible fonts from your IOS phone.
Where can I find a Cricut Joy cutting and writing machine?
Cricut Joy – Great for cutting and writing projects. Awesome Label maker too!
Can I save my projects in the App?
Yes you can. Although currently this does not pertain to the label projects. But yes you can save the following types of projects
- Iron-On & Infusible Ink Transfers
- Vinyl Stickers and Decals
- Paper Crafts
One point to note however is that project you saved on the Cricut Joy Application will not save or link to your Cricut Design Space application or vice versa.
You can find your saved Cricut Joy App Projects listed under the “My Stuff” icon on the “Home” screen of the application. It’s located in the bottom right-hand corner.
Once you click on “My Stuff” you will be taken to your projects. Here are my projects as an example below:
