Easy DIY baby headbands
Table of Contents
Looking for the perfect DIY way to make a baby headband easily and with no sewing? Yes, please! Here is a short and sweet tutorial with a YouTube video to show you how it’s done. In this post, I’ll show you the supplies I used with links to what I used, plus show close-ups of the ones I made this time.
Keep in mind the fun part of baby headbands is you have the option of going simple and easier or adding a few more bows for easy!
To Glue or To Sew?
Now in all fairness, these bows were made using hot glue and felt circles to protect the baby’s head. If I were to sell these or expect them to be handed done for generations to come I’d suggest tack sewing the bows on.
And if you’re looking for some quick easy peasy DIY baby headbands with no sewing you’ve come to the right place. Before I strut my pictures, a little back story as to how this post came about…. Or you can jump to the video first to see how it’s done, then come back 😊

My story and I’m sticking to it!
I usually post tutorials or tips for the Cricut Explorer Air 2 and/or Cricut Maker (cutting machines) which I so dearly love and use all of the time if not daily! But then this happened…
So one beautiful summer afternoon I get a message via FB Messenger. Now keep in mind I’m not young anymore and forget what or why I even have this app on my phone.
When did I see it? Exactly 1 hr 49 min later. Why? Uh, had no clue I was supposed to look at it. See, you youngins have this whole notification system locked and loaded. Myself? If it’s quiet everyone must be having an awesome day so I will too! LOL
The message went sorta like this
Hi Aunt Denise! Is there any way if I send you the money you could make some more headbands for Kennedy? The XXX-XXX most of them. She got the last feather one yesterday and now I only have one left and I don’t have many pictures of her in them. 😥
By the way, I used X’s to protect the innocent. Since my blog is G rated and I pray for never a negative comment, I felt obliged to create a mystery if you will as to the particulars. Remember I’m not young anymore and can pretty much call the shots with all these years of experience!
What I can say is this is one beautiful, smart and loving family asking their Auntie a favor. ❤
Sweet little Kennedy has an older brother (2nd grade) who just dotes over his baby sister and well, video games but he also loves to learn, he is one smart kiddo!
Their family dog is a very smart Huskey Puppy, who can often be seen laying around with the kiddos unless, of course, she’s not at the local dog park. 🐕🐾
Oh and if you want to learn how to engrave your very own dog tags, check out this post here

I hear my great niece is going to be a Flapper Girl for Halloween, can’t wait to see which one she wears! I’ll be sure to ask Momma if I can share some pictures on my blog as it has to be 100% Mommy and Daddy’s decision 😉
So this Auntie can’t just send something for my great-niece without sending something for my great-nephew! So come back next week to see what I sent him. Just kidding, click here to see it now! Hint I did use my Cricut for his fun gift 😋
